Kissing the Blarney Stone

35, at first glance, an inauspicious number, not 29, not-yet-40, but when taken in context amid a time of great wonder, a very special number indeed. Today is my 35th birthday, and, since it is my birthday and I am often wont to twist and garble sayings:

“Let’s call a horse a horse.”

35 has become very significant. SaraBear is poised for incredible things, with the momentum of our partnership with PSI beginning to be noticed and the relationships we have with boutiques like The Polkadot Platypus, we couldn’t be happier with the way things are going.

It was with great delight that we opened a package containing the newest addition to our Classic line, the Killarney. The pattern is at once timeless and trendy. The feeling is like I remember having after back-to-school clothes shopping with my dad. Hopeful. Lucky. And over-the-moon-excited. Here’s a peek.

So, you remember how I talked about messing up sayings? Well, we aren’t getting the “gift of eloquence” associated with Kissing the Blarney Stone*, yet somehow, this particular caddy makes me feel as if we have the luck o’the Irish on our side.

*”…the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence, found at the top of our Tower. Kiss it and you’ll never again be lost for words. But don’t take our word for it – everyone from Sir Walter Scott to a host of American presidents, world leaders, and international entertainers has been eager to take advantage.”
